Alexyss Jensen-Reinke I Women's History Month

Today, for the "Women's History Month" Campaign we are celebrating this gorgeous and resilient woman:

Meet Alexyss Jensen-Reinke, 30, wife, nanny, a aspiring model, and mom of a super cute puppy

Alexyss was born & grew up in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her mother & father were both born in New Jersey, USA . Her maternal grandmother was born & raised in Puerto Rico while her maternal grandfather was born & raised in Croatia. Her dad’s parents were both born in the USA but had ancestors from across Europe and Native American as well.

Tell us about your education:

I dropped out of college because I felt in my heart it wasn’t for me. After graduating from North Bergen High School I went on to apply at a trade school to become a nurse. I knew in my heart it was not going to work. Although I do have healing abilities I knew I did not want to take that path this lifetime around. I decided to follow my heart and leave that behind. I am also really good with children so I thought I’d try going to college to become a preschool teacher. That also did not work out because again my heart was telling me no.

What do you do for living?

I am currently a nanny but it isn’t my dream career. My dream career is to become a model and I am currently taking steps to create my dream career in modeling.

Life challenges and how did you overcome them?

I never felt good enough & felt very insecure. I’ve lacked confidence since about the age of 9 or 10 because my needs were not met as a child. My parents were only teenagers when they had me and although there were many beautiful moments and blessings in my child hood there was a lot of trauma as well. My father suffered from addiction and my mother hadn't quite had the time to figure out who she was and what she truly needed.  These issues made it impossible for my parents to show up for me in the way I needed them to as a child.

I overcame these challenges by forgiving my parents and realizing that they were just two struggling human beings who couldn’t be there for me the way I needed them to be. I had to accept that it wasn’t anyones fault. I also had to forgive myself for many mistakes I made that I felt lots of shame around. I had to take full accountability. I choose my parents before I reincarnated on earth to learn from them. Instead of focusing on what I didn’t get from them… how about focusing on the truth which is that without them I would absolutely not be the woman I am today. I am beyond grateful for all of their mistakes and everything they did do right because it helped me find myself again.

Life achievements?

Moving to another state, marrying the love of my life, making the decision to start a career in modeling. 

What are you passionate about?

Modeling is my top passion!! I also have a passion for helping people heal through words of encouragement & wisdom. I’m also passionate about a lot of holistic healing practices such as yoga, meditating & making herbal teas that heal mind body & soul. Creating poetry and writing is also a passion of mine.

What do you value the most in life?

My truth, my health & wellbeing. My marriage/ family & my dearest friends that are practically family.

Words of wisdom?

You are enough. No matter what you have been through or bad choices you’ve made..none of it defines your worth. Your worth is not measurable because you are an extension of the divine. You were created divine and you will die divine. Regardless of life’s messy paths your divinity and worth never changes. You don’t have to do anything to be worthy of love & a life of joy because it is your birthright.
