Women's History Month

Today, for the "Women's History Month" Campaign we are celebrating this fabulous woman:

Meet Brittany Dion, 37, wife, mom of 4, wedding planner, entreprenuer and a business owner.

Brittany is a 37-year-old mom of four, wedding planner and the proud owner of Poppin Bottles Mobile Bar, based in Southern Maine where she was born and raised. A graduate of Thornton Academy (Class of 2007), Brittany’s path wasn’t always clear, and that’s exactly what makes her story so powerful.

Raised by her nana, who played a huge role in shaping who she is today, Brittany began her career in the medical field, working in an eye doctor’s office as an optician and later in lactation at Maine Medical Center. While meaningful, she couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t where she was meant to be. During COVID, she found herself refinishing furniture as both a creative outlet and a way to earn extra income. Unknowingly stepping into the entrepreneurial spirit that would later change her life.

Brittany is a proud mom to Parker (16), Blake (12), and Landon (10), and was later blessed with her daughter, Sailor Grace Cecile, now 3.5. Sailor’s arrival came just 8 months after the passing of her beloved nana. A moment Brittany holds close to her heart, as her nana always dreamed of her having a girl. Today, Brittany also has the joy of raising her bonus son, Carmine, full-time. She lives in Old Orchard Beach with her husband Bobby, their children, and their two dogs, Phoebe the Frenchie and yellow lab Penny.

In 2021, Brittany participated in a Women’s History Month project alongside her nana, hoping to inspire and empower other single moms navigating life, work, and raising children on their own. At the time, she was still searching for herself, struggling with her weight, confidence, friendships, and finding peace within.

Fast forward to today, and Brittany’s life looks very different.

After the birth of her daughter, she knew she wanted to lead by example. Especially for a little girl watching her every move. In 2023, she made a life-changing decision: enough was enough. She committed to herself in every way. Brittany lost over 150 pounds, walked away from toxic relationships, built a strong and supportive circle, and stepped fully into her confidence.

That same year, she connected with Stacey. Now her close friend and business partner and together they launched Poppin Bottles and Grace Ventures. What started as a vision quickly grew into a thriving, successful business, earning Mobile Bar of the Year in its first season and even being featured in The New York Times. With the unwavering support of her husband, Bobby, and a small circle of close friends, Brittany has built a life she once only dreamed of.

Today, she is proud of who she is and where she comes from. Her journey is a reminder that it’s never too late to start over, change your path, or become the person you’ve always wanted to be. To try something new, or to build something you once believed could only exist as a dream.
