Nola Poole I Women's History Month

Today, for the "Women’s History Month" project, we are celebrating this fantastic woman

Nola Poole, mom, grandma, adventurer, free-spirit and General Manager for Chicos FAS ( women's fashion clothing)

Where are you from?

I grew up living in two areas, Hudson Valley, NY and Downeast Maine. I had the best of both worlds! The melting pot culture of NY and the work ethic of the warm Downeast people. NY exposed me to all the possibilities in life and Downeast taught me the satisfaction of working hard for any achievement.

My passion for music began in NY, studying clarinet with the first chair clarinetist at West Point and majored in Music at University of Southern Maine. Singing also was a passion and I have had the joy of singing for many loved friends and others when they began new lives together with their partner for life.

And speaking of this......Greatest life passion and challenge??
I was blessed to share 3 delightful decades with Ken. I wish you all just one day of the joyous life we lived.

We vowed from the beginning, in 1990, to create a beautiful blended family. It was our shared passion and mission and Wow, what a success!! Every one of our children and grandchildren are accomplishing milestones in their own passions. I am blown away.
By far, my greatest challenge has been learning to live without him these past 3 years.
Like so many now, I have discovered the depths of ground zero. I have also discovered the depths of the love of my family and close friends who respected my needs and gently nudged me to re-build and in the process re-evolve.I honestly do not know how women who are truly alone cope with this process.

I now love where this has all brought me. As a General Manager for Chicos FAS ( women's fashion clothing), I have a new verve for life! I get to meet  "Us" every day! Every day, we share our stories, our passions, our goals, our accomplishments, our hopes, our jokes and laughter as we inspire each other! Every day is an opportunity for joy!

Advice for other women?

We are women who are adaptable to accomplish ANYTHING!

Here is one of Nola's favorite quotes:

"Remember Who You Are"
