Family portraits are more than photographs. They are a way of preserving the people, relationships, and moments that matter most.

Whether you are looking for a beautiful update of your family portraits, a more complete photography experience, or a celebration that brings generations together, each session is thoughtfully designed to create meaningful images you will be proud to enjoy for years to come.

Every experience includes professional guidance throughout the process, from planning your session and choosing what to wear to posing, expression, and selecting your favorite images.

WHERE DO WE START?

Your portrait session should be a reflection of your family. Before our session we will have a consultation so we can discuss your expectations, ideas, and goals for our session. Preparation and communication are the keys to a successful portrait session, so make sure to share all your ideas and concerns with me during our consultation!

LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!

Finding the perfect location is an important part of planning for the photo shoot of your dreams. I have my favorite places, and usually make a recommendation during our consultation based on your personality and style, but I always welcome your location ideas. I’d love to know if there is a place that is sentimental to your family so we can discuss our options and plan the best location to suit your family.

CLOTHING

COLOR IS IN! This photo shoot is meant to capture your family, including individuality and style. Helpful tips to keep in mind when choosing outfits:

  • Think coordinating, not matching. Incorporate colors and patterns that fit well together.
  • Don’t be afraid of color! Choose a few neutral colors, and then add a few bright accents to your outfits. Accessories such as scarves, necklaces, and clothing layers are great for this.
  • Wear well fitting clothing. Not too tight, and nothing baggy. If you can’t walk in those pants, don’t wear them!
  • No logos please. To keep the look timeless, try to avoid trendy clothing with words or logos.
  • Always feel free to text or email me your clothing options laid out before our session!

CHILDREN

  • Get your kids excited for the session and let them know how much fun it will be, but no need to over prepare them or add too much pressure for "best behavior"
  • Kids pick up on your stress, so stay cool, even when they throw a tantrum
  • Our goal is to capture their true expressions, and keeping it light and fun is essential to that.
  • Our best behaved children (and adults for that matter) are usually those that are well fed before our session. Feel free to bring treats to reward good behavior during our session!

AFTER OUR SESSION

This is where it all comes together! You’ll come into the studio to view all of your best images. We’ll go through the images while I’m there to offer guidance and make sure all of your questions are answered. You’ll place your order and leave the studio with excitement and confidence about your order! 

THE FAMILY PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

30-Minute Session | $650

A simple and beautifully guided portrait experience for families who want updated photographs without committing to a longer session.

Your experience includes:

• Up to 30 minutes of photography

• One studio setting or outdoor location

• One immediate family household, up to 5 people

• Family portraits

• Portraits of the children together and individually, as time allows

• 10 professionally retouched digital images of your choice

• Personal image reveal and ordering appointment

• Option to purchase additional images, albums, prints, and wall art

Additional participants and extended family members are not available with this experience.

THE SIGNATURE FAMILY EXPERIENCE

1-Hour Session | $1,200

MOST POPULAR

Our signature experience offers more time, more variety, and the opportunity to create a complete collection of family portraits.

With additional time for different groupings and individual portraits, this experience is ideal for families who want more than a quick update and would like to preserve the unique personalities and relationships within their family.

Your experience includes:

• Up to 1 hour of photography

• Studio or one outdoor location

• One immediate family household, up to 6 people

• Multiple family combinations

• Individual portraits

• Sibling portraits

• Parent portraits

• 25 professionally retouched digital images of your choice

• Personal image reveal and ordering appointment

• Option to purchase additional images, albums, prints, and wall art

 

Additional Participants

Additional family members or relatives may be added for $75 per person, with a maximum of 8 participants total.

Sessions involving multiple households, larger groups, or multi-generational extended families require the Family Legacy Experience. 

THE FAMILY LEGACY EXPERIENCE

Up to 2 Hours | $2,200

Created for families who want to preserve more than a moment.

The Family Legacy Experience is designed for extended families, multi-generational portraits, milestone celebrations, and families who want the time and flexibility to create a comprehensive collection of meaningful photographs.

This experience allows us to photograph the family together while also creating smaller groupings, individual portraits, couples, siblings, grandparents, and the relationships that make your family unique.

 

Your experience includes:

• Up to 2 hours of photography

• Studio, outdoor location, or a combination of both

• Immediate and extended families

• Multiple generations and family households

• Large family portraits

• Smaller family groupings

• Individual portraits

• Couples and sibling portraits

• Grandparents and grandchildren

• Up to two wardrobe looks, when appropriate

• 50 professionally retouched digital images of your choice

• Personal image reveal and ordering appointment

• $500 artwork credit toward albums or wall art

• Option to purchase additional images and artwork 

THE EXPERIENCE

From the moment you reserve your session, you will receive guidance to help you prepare for your portrait experience.

I will help you with wardrobe recommendations, session planning, posing, and expression so you can feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.

After your session, we will meet for your personal image reveal and ordering appointment, either in the studio or via Zoom.

During your appointment, you will view your portraits for the first time, select the images included with your chosen collection, and have the opportunity to purchase additional images and artwork.

Online proofing galleries are not provided.

ADDITIONAL IMAGES & ARTWORK

Your chosen collection includes a specific number of professionally retouched digital images.

Additional photographs may be purchased during your image reveal and ordering appointment.

Albums, prints, and wall art are available separately.

The Family Legacy Experience includes a $500 artwork credit that may be applied toward qualifying albums or wall art.

Artwork credits have no cash value and must be used at the time of your ordering appointment.

RESERVING YOUR FAMILY PORTRAIT EXPERIENCE

Your selected Family Portrait Experience includes your photography session, professional planning and guidance, image preparation, and the number of digital images specified in your collection.

A deposit of $250  is required to reserve your session date.

Payment plans may be available for the Signature Family Experience and Family Legacy Experience.

All purchased images are professionally retouched and delivered as high-resolution digital files with personal printing rights.
